Rewilding the Soul: In the Company of Our Animal Kin
Throughout history, humans and animals have shared a deep relationship; one rooted in respect, reciprocity, and reverence. Across many cultures, animals have long been understood as more than companions. Within shamanic traditions, they are encountered as teachers, allies, and fellow participants in the greater living whole. Their ways of seeing, moving, and relating invite us into a richer understanding of ourselves, our communities, and the natural world.
In this six-day immersive training, we will reconnect with this ancient practice. Through shamanic journeys, ceremony, and embodied experience, we’ll explore how to build relationships with the spirits of animals – not only as individuals, but as guardians of place, kin of landscape, and keepers of ancestral memory. We’ll attune to the power of the pack, the heart of the hive, and the deep intelligence of the wild; learning what these relationships may reveal about ourselves, our communities, and our place within the greater living whole.
Together, we will dive into key aspects of animal shamanic practice, including:
🦅 Animal powers – exploring the unique qualities and perspectives different animals may offer through direct experience.
🐺 Totemic relationships – deepening our understanding of animal kinship and the wisdom found in long-term relationship.
🦊 Shapeshifting – exploring shifts in perception through the lived experience of animal consciousness.
🦉 Healing practices – including Animal Soul Retrieval, Animal Extraction Medicine, and Animal Psychopomp.
🐍 Ceremony, movement and ritual – honouring relationship through embodied practice.
This training invites a renewed relationship with the animal world, cultivating greater attentiveness to the ways animals continue to teach, challenge, and accompany us in the modern world.
