We believe that meaningful work begins with mutual trust, respect and personal responsibility. These guidelines are intended to support that shared understanding.

Workshops & Courses
Registration and payment
Advance booking is required for all workshops and courses.
Deposit amounts, payment schedules and booking deadlines will be confirmed when you register.
Deposits are non-refundable once your place has been confirmed.
If you cancel more than 30 days before the workshop begins, any balance paid (excluding the deposit) will normally be refunded.
Cancellations made within 30 days of the workshop start date are non-refundable unless we are able to fill your place.
If From Our Roots needs to cancel a workshop, all payments made will be refunded in full or, if you prefer, transferred to another event.
Participation
Our workshops and courses are educational and experiential. They are not psychotherapy, counselling or medical treatment, and should not be regarded as a substitute for professional healthcare.
Participation is entirely voluntary. By attending, you accept responsibility for your own physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing before, during and after the workshop.
Health and wellbeing
If you are currently receiving treatment for a significant physical or mental health condition, or are under the care of a medical or mental health professional, please contact us before registering. We may ask for written confirmation from your healthcare provider confirming that participation is appropriate.
Our workshops may not be suitable for everyone. We reserve the right to decline or withdraw a booking where participation may not be in the best interests of the individual or the wider group.
Respect and confidentiality
We ask everyone to contribute to a respectful, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Please treat fellow participants, facilitators, the venue and the surrounding environment with care and consideration.
Harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour or persistent disruption will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the workshop without refund.
To help create a space of trust, we ask that personal stories and experiences shared by participants remain confidential during and after the workshop.
Alcohol and drugs
From Our Roots workshops and courses are alcohol- and drug-free. Anyone attending under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs will be asked to leave.
Photography
From time to time we may take photographs during workshops for promotional purposes. We will always seek permission before using images in which participants are identifiable. If you would prefer not to be photographed, simply let us know.
Liability
We take reasonable care to provide a safe and supportive environment for everyone attending our workshops.
Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, From Our Roots accepts no liability for any loss, injury or damage arising from participation, except where caused by our negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and cancellations
Occasionally we may need to postpone, cancel or make changes to a workshop due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, illness or venue issues. Where possible, we will offer an alternative date or a full refund.
Updates
We may occasionally update these Guidelines & Policies. The latest version will always be available on this website.
