Workshops and courses

Introduction
By registering for and attending a From Our Roots workshop or course, you (the participant) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not register or attend.

Registration and payments
Advance registration is required for all workshops and courses. Details about the deposit and deadlines for full payment will be provided upon registration. Deposits are non-refundable once your registration is confirmed. Additional payments may be refundable depending on how far in advance cancellation is made. No refunds will be issued within 30 days of the start date.

Your commitment as a participant

Personal responsibility
Our workshops and courses often involve deep inner work. While our facilitators are here to support you, these offerings are not therapy groups. You are responsible for your own process, safety, and integration of the experience. You attend at your own risk and discretion.

Health and fitness to participate
If you are currently under medical or psychiatric supervision, you must provide a letter from your doctor confirming your fitness to take part. Our workshops are not suitable for those experiencing psychiatric or serious emotional challenges, or those seeking counselling or therapy. Our facilitators are not qualified medical professionals and cannot provide medical advice.

Respectful conduct and confidentiality
We ask all participants to bring respect, presence, and care to our shared space. Disruptive, offensive, or harmful behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the workshop or course without a refund. This includes harassment, hate speech, or failure to follow reasonable facilitator guidance. Confidentiality is essential. You agree to honour the privacy of others by not sharing any personal information or processes experienced by fellow participants, during or after the workshop.

Substance-free environment
All From Our Roots workshops and courses are alcohol-, drug-, and smoke-free. Anyone found under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs will be asked to leave.

Liability disclaimer
From Our Roots and its partners will always strive to create a safe and supportive environment. However, we are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages – whether physical, mental, emotional, or otherwise – that may occur during or after the workshop or course, beyond our reasonable control and duty of care. By participating, you take full responsibility for your own wellbeing.

Privacy and data protection
Your privacy matters. Any personal information collected during registration will be handled in line with our Privacy Policy (see below) and not shared with third parties. By registering, you consent to the appropriate use of your data as described.

Force majeure
From Our Roots is not responsible for cancellations, delays, or changes due to events beyond our control – such as extreme weather, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Agreement to terms
By registering for and attending a workshop or course, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions. Your participation signifies your agreement to uphold them. If you do not comply with these terms, you may be asked to leave without a refund.

Updates to terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated, and the updated version will take effect from the date it is posted.
